Last-Minute Halloween Fun in Northern Virginia

jackolantern_and_lights_halloweenEven if you’ve waited until today to figure out what to do with the kids—or what to do yourself—for Halloween, you’ve still got a lot of options, many of which won’t dent the pocketbook this afternoon and evening. Check these local Halloween events:

For an unforgettable literary experience, try Poe in Alexandria and hear actor David Kelts portray the 19th century author. If you want to attend a party, why not attend the Del Ray Artisans’ Halloween Costume Ball? You can also take the kids to visit historic Mount Vernon for a trick-or-treat event.

That’s definitely not all, so check out Extraordinary Alexandria for a list of local Halloween events. For kids and adults as well, there’s still time to plan for a great Halloween, even if it is last minute. Remember, as the sun goes down, be on the lookout for little ghosts and goblins prowling the streets, and have a safe and enjoyable evening.
