Don’t Miss the Del Ray House & Garden Tour Saturday, May 10

The Del Ray Citizens Association will hold the biennial Del Ray House & Garden Tour on May 10, featuring homes built as early as the 1940s, as well as more modern representations from the area. The tour is self-guided and runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The Hollin Hills Civic Association will host the 2014 House & Garden Tour for the celebrated mid-century modern community May 3 and provide an up-close look at post-war artistic expression. You see them sometimes sprinkled among traditionally constructed Ramblers, Ranches and Cape Cods, with their flat roofs, more windows than walls and funky shapes.
